What a wonderful book you've written!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and was fascinated by the story as you told it. It is the best book available to anyone who is looking for the larger picture of our understanding of pain. You've got plenty of details, but they're within an ongoing unified story.
I'm very impressed by your ability to convey tough ideas, capture the personalities of the people involved, provide a sense of excitement, and make it all seem like fun.
I hope your book is a great success. I recommended it to my nephew Julian-Louis' son who was in Toronto for Louis' last days and stayed on to be with his mother. Julian, an Oxford philosopher by training, enjoyed the book and was stimulated to start planning to write a paper on the "essence" of pain!
